Good day AWC fans. AWC Times reporter Penthouse Observer here with a special edition of the AWC Times reports. The upcoming tourney match between Bao and Sierra appears to be a contrast of size and should be a great match-up between undefeated fighters. Sierra comes into the fight off of a solid win over jenny and Bao comes into her first tournament match since she is a Club Champion. Fans of both fighters are excited to see this match. Bao looks to defend the honor of the Pacific Club since they have not done well in fights against other Clubs. As an independent, Sierra continues her path to the title without the support of a Club. I was able to get a few minutes time with each of the girls to bring you their thoughts heading into this big match. Like the other tournament matches this round, one advances to the final four fighters and the other is eliminated. First up tonight, Bao.
Bao is currently the Pacific Club Champion with an undefeated record of 4-0. Bao comes from a community near Hong Kong in China. She continues to train young gymnasts and works out quite a bit herself.
PO: Do you think waiting for all these other matches will impact things for you during this fight?
Bao: Not really. I train hard all the time. I am ready for a match at any time. Sierra did a lot of watching too so I think we are the same in this.
PO: Some would say the Pacific Club has not performed well against other Clubs. They would say you may not be as good as your record and being champion of a weak Club doesn’t mean much. What do you think?
Bao: That is all very sad. I will fight whoever the Club arranges me to fight. Whether that means one Club is better than another I don’t know. I’ll just fight as I am scheduled and we will see what happens I think.
PO: Any concerns about Sierra’s size advantage?
Bao: Not really. Bigger isn’t better. I have been defeating bigger fighters already. It is just how it is when you aren’t a big girl yourself.
PO: What do you plan to do to get this win?
Bao: I will fight in whatever way I need to do so to be the victor. I can handle whatever style of opponent Sierra might be. It will be fun.
PO: We wish you the best of luck Bao. This will be a tough match-up for you, but you have shown in the past you can handle larger fighters.
After a few words from our sponsor we’ll return and visit with Sierra.
Sierra is an independent fighter at the moment although rumor has it that she might be joining the East Coast Club of the AWC in the near future. She hails from the Miami, Florida area and comes off a solid win over Jenny in the last round of the tournament. Coming into this fight, Sierra is undefeated with a record of 5-0.
PO: So tonight you get to fight a girl that has been waiting for her first match in the tournament. Any thoughts on Bao getting to sit and watch the fights up to now?
Sierra: If she sat and watched what I did to Jenny she’s likely worried about what I’m going to do to her. I bet she is wondering if she’s rusty and unprepared. All that watching can’t be good for her. So that’s a lot weighing on her mind.
PO: So you have a bit of a size advantage over Bao. Do you think that will make a difference in this match-up?
Sierra: Not at all. She’s embarrassed girls bigger than me that underestimated her. She can account for size, but she wont have an answer for my skill, preparation, and unpredictability.
PO: What do you expect out of Bao and what is your strategy to help you get the win?
Sierra: Great question. I bet Bao would like to hear my answer on that one too. So nice try, but “NO COMMENT” is the best you’re gonna get today. Bao and all the fans will find out once we’re out there. The fans will enjoy it and for Bao she will be finding out the hard way.
PO: Of the other seven fighters in the round of eight (Callie, Tisha, Suzette, Molly, Bao, Drury, and Alessandra) who do you see as the favorite to win it all and why?
Sierra: I think they all make great candidates for second place!!
PO: Good luck Sierra. This should be a great match between the two of you.
That’s all for our interview tonight. Tune in to see this fight it should be a great one.
